PQM meat raffle

You heard that right. PQM is bringing a true Midwest Meat Raffle to the heart of Fulton Market. Join us for our next PQM Meat Raffle on Thursday, October 10th at 5:30 PM. Head Butcher/Chef de Cuisine, Rob Levitt, will be on the grill and our friends at 3 Floyds Brewing will be supplying the beers as we gear up for some good, clean fun, all for a great cause.
As with any true meat raffle, guests will have the chance to spin to win, with a lucky few bringing home specialty cuts from the PQM butcher case - we’re talking racks of baby back ribs, sausage assortments to keep you grilling for days, and the grand daddy of them all, the Tomahawk RibEye, going to one lucky grand prize winner.
Raffle tickets for a chance to spin can be purchased on-site with drawings taking place throughout the evening. Keeping in the spirit of community, all proceeds from the evening’s raffle will be donated directly to Impact Culinary Training, an organization founded by Rick Bayless, focused on bridging the gap between underserved neighborhoods throughout Chicago and the restaurant community.

History of the Meat Raffle
Originating in Britain during 20th-century wartime, the traditional meat raffle was organized to support families during periods of food rationing, bringing communities together to pool their rations and provide a family with a full meal.
The event has since become popular in the US, primarily in the Midwest, taking form as a community fundraiser. Guests congregate for food, drinks and the chance to win big through a highly-anticipated meat drawing while raffle proceeds go to the participating charitable organization. Lucky guests will go home with a cut (or two) of meat from the local butcher.
